I have a small mouth, and still have wisdom teeth. The teeth at the back of my mouth are crowded and not entirely lined up straight, so I appreciate the fact that your bristles aren't as long as others and allow me to comfortably reach and clean the gum line at the back of my mouth. School, University of Maryland 1956. I have been a dentist for 50
years. When I started private practice in Maryland, the pharmacist who
owned "Howard & Morris" told me about a new floss "POH" and
suggested I try it and recommend it to my patients. Our family has been
using it for all those years and all of us have had little or no dental
health problems. Most of my patients who used POH during those years
have had a similar experience.

9/20/08 Susan, RDH, : I graduated from RDH school in 1979. We were taught that it was unwaxed POH floss or NOTHING. Then the “G-Wizz” machine was born and the Old Boys and others came in with their money and somehow the unwaxed idea was forgotten even by my instructors. I saw one of them and asked if they even remembered teaching us about unwaxed floss and she said no.
Anyway, I am buying this for my patients because my new boss won't change his “free” floss that comes with his toothbrushes benefit. So, I can't stand it anymore. I'll pay for it myself and give the ones who are serious about their home care the best floss on the planet. Thank you and way to go for not “selling out” to the “flavor or the day and the bottom line rules” mentality.

Charles C. Bass, M.D., published this work on personal oral hygiene.
In 1948.
Non-commercially motivated, Dr. Bass studied the cause
of caries and periodontal disease.
And learned how to prevent it.
