P.O.H. is dedicated to producing the finest toothbrushes and dental floss in the world. We are located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, U.S.A.
Founded in 1961 by Robert G. Jones, D.D.S.
Dr. Jones graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri Kansas City dental school. He received his license to practice June 1949. For ten years he practiced dentistry as he had been taught. The pain and misery that daily trooped through his office began to drag him down. Crown and bridge work, drilling, filling and billing. He felt like a gold jeweler, not a person of medicine and science.
A meeting with Charles C. Bass, M.D. changed his life, his practice and the general practice of dentistry. Dr. Bass proved that caries and periodontal disease was a preventable process of disease. Properly cleaning your mouth daily was the tool.
Personal Oral Hygiene.
Dr. Bass insisted upon soft nylon bristles, each tip carefully polished and end rounded, and very thin, multi-filament nylon floss.
And he insisted that any dentist wanting his toothbrushes and dental floss had to come to New Orleans and take a course in oral hygiene and the Bass Method. Not many dentists wanted to take the time.
Dr Jones soon was asked to teach the method to dental study clubs, then conventions of dentists. He took the message of personal oral hygiene to South America, Europe and China. Many dentists were skeptical back then. They thought that cleaning the teeth properly once a day was surely too simple a solution to the ravages of tooth decay and gum disease.
None of Dr. Jones' patients could buy such products, so he started Oral Health Products, Inc.
We follow their teachings. Their mission was to help patients clean and keep their teeth.
Their mission is our mission.

This is who works for P.O.H.
We don't make hundreds of millions of toothbrushes a year. Just millions...

| 2004 Picnic - Just a few of us. |

| We always do T-Shirts for the picnic |

|
Every year in June we stop what we are up to and have an Oklahoma style barbecue picnic.
Every year we produce a new t shirt, too. This one shown is for the Millennium Picnic.
We have many years of them, with great food and fun games. One year, we divvied up into teams, and had to work together to gather, package and put into a shipper box a standard-ish order. However, each team had to choose a color, and could only fill the order with the toothbrushes that are their color. We had to look thru a lot of packages. Oh, and each team was tied together at the wrist. It was a hoot, as we say around here.
So, don't expect our usual splendid service if you place an order on our picnic day. That is the only day of the year that we put us first, and you second. But only for that day.
