Did We Do Right? Jane Says: Yes - My order arrived surprisingly soon
and in fine shape. Over 20 years ago, my Mother was seeing a
periodontist who used to give her a P.O.H. No. 1 toothbrush at every
visit. She had a bunch of them in her linen closet. Once, when I was
visiting, she gave me one. I liked it so much, that I found you (before
the days of the Internet and email) and started ordering them for
myself. I've used the No. 1 for over 20 years and I love it. I order
three dozen at a time and change them at least monthly. Plus, I give a
few away, as my mother did. Each time I see a dentist or oral
hygienist, they compliment me on how well I am doing with my flossing.
I'm embarrassed to tell them that I only floss when I feel like I have
some food particles caught between my teeth. The P.O.H. No. 1 keeps my
teeth and gums in terrific condition! Thanks so much for a great
product.
9/10/07 Valerie - I love your product. I use it on patients daily. Unfortunately the Dr I work for is purchasing other samples at the moment. I will personally continue to use POH and I do give out the patient order forms for the buypoh web site. If you have more of those I would give them to my patients that really appreciate squeaky clean teeth!
9/7/07 Andrew O, Olney MD - I just prefer plain straight-handled toothbrushes, which anymore are becoming increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to find. Various dentists throughout my dental history have given me complimentary plain toothbrushes & yours is one of the few name brands I can remember, who actually still make a plain straight-handled toothbrush. Keep up the good work . . . squash those funky-bristled, bent/ergonomic-handled, mass-marketed, gimmicky toothbrush manufacturers!! Shame on them -- a toothbrush shouldn't cost more than a $1.00!
I had always loved taking care of my teeth (LOVED my every 6 month dental appointment since I've been in kindergarten) but was always a terrible flosser. Would floss for a week or two after each appointment and then stop. Felt guilty at every appointment. Then in January 2006 two very important things happened. As a first year student in medical school, I had a lecture about the histology of the teeth, showing a cutaway side view of the teeth and gums, and was shocked to see the huge "gap" between them where stuff accumulates when you don't floss. My histology teacher gave a flippant "That's where the floss goes, and when you don't floss your teeth fall out". That same week I went to Whole Foods and tried a new floss, the POH NoWax. I fell in love with it, and have flossed no less than 30 days a month ever since. It was a remarkable change. POH is such a pleasure to use because of it's thin size and I love being able to "see" more that I'm scraping away than I could with thicker floss, and not having to "fight" to get it in between my teeth. I've regularly given out POH floss to all my friends and family (and this morning to a friend at my kickboxing class) because I think it is so important. I came on the website today because last week I did not see the POH floss at it's usual spot in my market, so I'm going to start ordering online. I'm also excited to try the black floss so I can "see" the plaque removal -- how fun! I also have a friend in dental school who I tell about your products and how he should stock them in his office.
