In the engineered yarn business, we talk of denier. Pronounced den-eer.
One denier equals one gram of yarn in weight, that would make a 9 kilometer long thread.
It is a measure of thickness. Our floss is made of 2 denier filaments, which is about six tenths of one-thousandths of an inch.
We gather nylon in gathers of 70. We offer a 630 (thick), our Classic 490 (just right) and our newest item, 420.
